Hi everyone, welcome to my blog. My name is Lori Minovich and I have been teaching social dance (Latin, Ballroom, Swing & Hustle) since the 1970’s and would like to share an interesting phenomenon that I’ve observed. The scene starts out like this: a man and woman enter my studio to take dance lessons for the first time. The woman is all excited, smiling, laughing and happy to be there. The man is dragging his feet, looking like he’s about to have dental work done. HE DOES NOT WANT TO BE THERE AT ALL! Now comes the interesting part. By the time the first lesson is done the man is smiling, laughing and can’t believe how easy it is to learn how to dance (and have some fun too!) The woman breathes a sigh of relief.
